Chan Lok-tim

Chan Lok-tim is pursuing Bachelor of Music (Honours) Degree in the Department of Composition and Electronic Music in the School of Music of The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts with Mr. TANG Man-ngai. In 2021, he participated in the ‘Youth Composer Workshop’ held by the Young Friends of the Hong Kong Arts Festival conducted by Dr. Lee Kar-tai and Dr. Yip Hokwen Austin and premiered his chamber work at the Young Composer Showcase by professional musicians. In 2023, he was commissioned to write music for the Hong Kong Gaudeamus Dunhuang Ensemble and the winner of the Solange Jospé Award, Yoav Bloch.

He was awarded ‘The Academy Local Scholarship’ from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in 2021/22 and 2022/23 for his academic pursuits. Along with it, he received ‘The Lions Music Charity Foundation Scholarship 2021/22’.
