The Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra joins forces again with rising musical talent Chu Wan Pin, recasting the soundtracks of two films—The Last Dance and Wu Kong—into a Chinese orchestral extravaganza. Featuring nearly 100 musicians, this concert employs richly varied timbres to convey profound cinematic emotions and dramatic conflicts, immersing audiences in the awe-inspiring power and emotional depth of Chinese music.

The Last Dance not only earned Best Original Film Music at the Asian Film Awards and Hong Kong Film Awards, but it also is one of the highest-grossing Chinese-language films in Hong Kong history. Meanwhile, Wu Kong has garnered multiple accolades, including Taiwan’s Golden Horse and Hong Kong Film Awards, with its music accentuating traditional instruments in crafting contemporary narratives. This is not merely a presentation of film scores but an artistic re-creation, inviting audiences to immerse in the Chinese music world behind cinematic lights and shadows.
