This concert features renowned huqin virtuoso Xu Hui, presenting a repertoire of classics that trace the evolution of the instrument across a century. The programme showcases compositions by prominent Chinese composers of the modern era, highlighting not only the pristine timbre of the Eco-Erhu but also showcasing a variety of performance styles for the bass erhu, banhu and jinghu. With masterful technique and profound expression, Xu Hui invites the audience to enter a poetic and evocative musical world.
